Pasta for dinner

My husband loves when I cook this pasta. I never really had a name for it I just say, “Oh babe you want the pasta with the cucumbers, noodles, salad dressing…” etc. You get the idea, so I am just going to stick with the Cold Pasta. It is a pretty good recipe and the good thing I like about it is that you can be creative and add what you want. I usually add cube ham and crab meat to it.This dish will take about 30 minutes to make altogether. (This includes the time to cool off in the fridge.)

Penne Pasta (You can use whatever kind you like) I usually use a whole box but I am also usually cooking for 5-7 people when I cook this dish.

Zesty Italian (I recently tried the balsamic vinaigrette instead and it was pretty tasty.)

1 Cucumber (You can slice the outer layer off if you prefer. I leave it on.)

1 Tomato

Black Pepper

*You can add meat in it as well. I usually add crab meat and cube ham.

Add water to a pot and bring it to a boil. (DO NOT ADD COOKING/OLIVE OIL!! IT WILL PREVENT THE SALAD DRESSING FROM STICKING TO THE PASTA NOODLE)

Add the pasta noodles and stir constantly. (They will stick faster and more often since there is no cooking/olive oil.)

While the pasta noodles are cooking go ahead and cut up the cucumbers and tomato and put it in a bowl. (One that is big enough for the finished dish)

If you want to add any meat this is the time to do so. Just add it to the bowl with the previous ingredients.

After the noodles are fully cooked, drain the water from the pot and place the noodles in a bowl.

Add the bottle of Zesty Italian dressing. (Or similar flavor) Add enough to make sure all the noodles are slightly covered in the dressing.

Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.

Take out and enjoy!
